# Check this morning's audit

> Read whether today's audit checks can be trusted and what they found, with auditReport.

Every morning an audit reads your systems and checks each statement your team needs to be true. Before acting on what it found, ask whether the reads were complete; then read the counts.

## The request

```bash theme={null}
curl -s "$DARPAN_API/rest/s1/graphql/public" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $DARPAN_GQL_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d @- <<'JSON'
{
  "query": "query Morning($audit: String!) { auditReport(audit: $audit) { report { date period } health { complete summary sources { system read reason affects } } summary { open pending newToday fixedToday oldestOpen { id statement ageDays } } } }",
  "variables": { "audit": "month-close" }
}
JSON
```

Replace `month-close` with your audit's code. Leave out `date` for today in your tenant's time zone, or pass `date: "2026-10-08"` for an earlier morning.

## Read the answer

1. **`health.complete`.** `true` means every source read was complete and every configured check ran. When it is `false`, `health.summary` says what was missing in one or two sentences, and each entry in `health.sources` names the system, its `reason`, and the statements it `affects`. Counts for those statements may be short today.
2. **`summary`.** `open` and `pending` across the tenant, plus `newToday` and `fixedToday`. A `pending` finding is inside its check's grace period and becomes `open` if it is still there after it.
3. **`summary.oldestOpen`.** The finding that has waited longest. Pass its `id` to [Read one finding](https://developers.drpn.ai/graphql/tasks/read-one-finding.md).

## Drill into one category or statement

Ask for one category, and one statement inside it, by id:

```graphql theme={null}
{
  auditReport(audit: "month-close") {
    category(id: "returns") {
      counts { open pending }
      statement(id: "R8") {
        text
        status
        reason
        findings { id headline state ageDays }
        findingsOmitted
      }
    }
  }
}
```

The category ids are `orders`, `refundsAndCredits`, `returns` and `exchangesAndWarranty`. A statement lists at most 50 findings; `findingsOmitted` says how many more it has. To read all of them, use [List open findings](https://developers.drpn.ai/graphql/tasks/list-open-findings.md) with `statement:R8`.
